On the 30-caliber box, no additional hardware is needed to attach the power supply, the mounting system itself holds it securely in place.
On the 50-caliber box, the power supplies attach to the mounts using M4 × 6 mm screws. A single power supply requires four screws, while a dual-power-supply setup requires twelve.
* On the 50 caliber box when using a dual-power-supply configuration with those controller mounts that attach to both sides of the power supply, an additional 4 mm spacer is needed to compensate for material thickness. We offer spacers specifically designed for the LRS-350 and LRS-600 models. In this setup, eight of the M4 screws will need to be slightly longer to accommodate the added thickness of the spacers. The latest Ammo Box version 3 mounts are fully backwards compatible with all previous generations of controller mounts. Version 3 mounts can easily be identified by observing text on the mounts as the previous generations had no text.
While the 30 caliber Ammo Box mounts have versions for both the LRS 350 and LRS 600 power supplies, room inside the box is tight when the LRS 600 is used and we do not typically recommend it’s use.
Similarly the 50 caliber Ammo Box mount supports utilizing dual LRS 350 and 600 power supplies, however this really should be restricted to the LRS 350 as space inside the box with two LRS 600 power supplies is tight.
