Kings Ransom 46 Mount STL

$15.00

This STL file set contains everything needed to 3D print the mounting system designed specifically for the Gilbert Engineering Kings Ransom 46″ prop. The brackets are designed to be zip-tied directly to the coro and can be printed to fit either 1/2″ or 3/4″ EMT conduit—both sizes are included in the download. The conduit slides through the mounts to form the frame and at the center junction a corresponding 1/2″ or 3/4″ PVC cross is used to connect the perpendicular sections with the aid of a bushing file that is also included to adapt for EMT’s slightly smaller diameter. Once the conduit is in place, it is fastened to the mounts with screws, locking everything together to create a strong, rigid structure behind the prop. This setup provides excellent stability for mounting to various surfaces and is especially useful for reinforcing props that have been split for shipping. More information below.

Note: This is a digital purchase for STL files and not a physical product.

The model for the Kings Ransom is designed so that the crowns are located at the 4 cardinal points, however the existing zip tie holes are only located on the points between the crowns. Since keeping the orientation correct per the xLights model is most important; the mounts are designed to reflect that orientation and as such you will have to make your own zip tie holes in the prop for the mounts. You can learn more about this by clicking on the link below for general mount installation instructions.

General instructions for attaching mounts to coro props, including zip tie hole alignment, can be found by clicking this link.
